Discord Timestamp Generator

Pick a date and time and copy a code like <t:1767225600:F>. Discord shows it to every reader in their own time zone.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type here is sent to Reachism.

How it works

  1. 1. Pick the moment

Choose the date and time of your event in your own time zone. It starts on the current time.

  2. 2. Choose a format

Short time, long date, relative (“in 3 hours”) and more — each code has a preview beside it.

  3. 3. Paste it in Discord

Copy the code into a message, an event or a channel topic. Discord turns it into a local time for everyone.

How Discord timestamps work

A Discord timestamp is a Unix time (seconds since 1 January 1970, UTC) wrapped in a short code: <t:SECONDS:STYLE>. Discord replaces the code with a date or time formatted for each reader’s own clock and language, so a server spread across time zones never has to convert “8 pm EST” again.

The style letter picks the format: t and T are short and long time, d and D short and long date, f and F short and long date with time, and R a relative time that keeps counting (“in 2 days”, “5 minutes ago”). Leaving the style out gives the same as f.

The previews here use your browser’s language, so they look very close to what you will see in Discord; the exact wording can differ slightly by app version and language.

Questions about the Discord Timestamp Generator

Anywhere Discord formats message text: messages, replies, threads, forum posts, channel topics and event descriptions.

That is the point: the code holds one moment, and Discord shows it in each reader’s own time zone.

It shows a relative time, such as “in 3 hours” or “2 days ago”, and updates while the message is on screen.

No. The code is worked out in your browser. You paste it into Discord yourself.
