LinkedIn Text Formatter
LinkedIn has no bold button. This tool swaps your letters for Unicode look-alikes that stay bold or italic wherever you paste them.

Paste it into a LinkedIn post, comment, headline or About section.
How bold text on LinkedIn works
Unicode, the standard every phone and computer uses for text, includes complete bold, italic and monospace alphabets meant for mathematics. Because they are characters rather than formatting, they keep their look when pasted into LinkedIn, which has no formatting of its own.
Only the plain letters A–Z and the digits change. Accented letters, punctuation and emoji are left as they are, because Unicode has no styled versions of them.
Use it sparingly: screen readers may read styled letters one by one or skip them, and LinkedIn search may not match styled words. Keep names, job titles and anything people search for in plain text.
Questions about the LinkedIn Text Formatter
Yes — anywhere LinkedIn accepts text, because the styled letters are ordinary characters, not formatting.
Unicode only has styled versions of the plain Latin letters and digits. Letters such as é, ü or ñ, and every non-Latin script, stay as they are. Italic has no styled digits either.
It can be. Some screen readers announce each styled letter by its mathematical name or skip it. Style a short phrase, not whole paragraphs, and never your name or the key facts.
No. The letters are swapped in your browser and nothing you type leaves this page.
